Research work

•Supervise more than 40 undergraduate students in nursing
•Done a study with my colleague the tile is “descriptive study on Factors affecting the learning of the Allied Health Sciences students, faculty of Medicine, University of Jaffna.
•During the M.Sc Programme an individual research project was carried out the tiled “A study to assess the knowledge and practice of women on management of different kinds of pain among the adults in south Pichchavaram villege at Chidanbaram taluk, South India
•I have prepared and presented a research proposal tilled “A Study of the reproductive health of internally displaced females (14- 49 years of age) in the Jaffna district”, at the seminar held jointly by Uppsala university and the Sri Jeyawardenapura university in September 2004
•Participated in research discussions with the PhD students of the International Education of Maternal Health group of the department of Women’s and Children’s Health at the Uppsala University November, December 2005
•Did a research project jointly with two other students on “Diarrhoea in Children”, during the Community health Appointment for the Sixth semester of study during my nursing degree programme and submitted a report.
• I have prepared the Index for the book titled “Learning Research”, written by Prof. C. Sivagnanasundram1999
