(Chia Seeds) for Oral Candidiasis,\u201d<\/strong> <strong>r<\/strong>eceived <strong>Second Place in the Poster Presentation<\/strong>under the <strong>Drug Discovery and Formulation<\/strong> session in International Research Conference in Health Sciences (IRCHS) 2026, held on 15 July 2026 at University of Sri Jeyawardanapura.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" align=\"justify\">The research was conducted as part of the undergraduate research programme by <strong>Ms. M. F. F. Faseeha, Ms. M. I. F. Mafrina, Mr. K. R. M. Mufees, Mrs. J. G. Thevaki, Ms. K. Dilakshana and Ms. S. Sathya<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" align=\"justify\">The research explored the potential of <em>Abelmoschus esculentus<\/em> (okra pods) and <em>Salvia hispanica<\/em> L. (chia seeds) in the development of a polyherbal gel formulation targeting <strong>oral candidiasis<\/strong>. The study reflects the Department of Pharmacy\u2019s continued emphasis on undergraduate research, formulation development, natural products, and the exploration of plant-based therapeutic approaches. The research findings were presented by <strong>Ms. M. F. F.
