Dr. Rasaratnam Karunaithas, a Lecturer in Medical Laboratory Sciences, has been awarded the prestigious ‘Award for Patented Innovation’ by Mahidol University, Thailand. His groundbreaking research on ‘Method for preparing peptide from Garlic that has the ability to inhibit leukemic cells’ was granted Thailand Patent No. 22609, highlighting the faculty’s commitment to cutting-edge research.
The award was presented on March 2, 2025, during the joint celebration of Mahidol University’s 56th Royal Naming Day and its 137th Anniversary, acknowledging Dr. Karunaithas’s significant contribution to medical science and innovation.
