Overview

Dr. (Mrs.) Sivasinthujah Srikokulan is a Senior Lecturer in Pharmacy at the Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, University of Jaffna, Sri Lanka. She obtained her BSc Honours Degree in Chemistry with First Class from the University of Jaffna. She completed her PhD in 2019 at the University of Canterbury, New Zealand, under the UC Doctoral Scholarship, working under the supervision of Professor Antony Fairbanks and the co-supervision of Professor Sander van Kasteren. Her doctoral research focused on carbohydrate chemistry and chemical biology, particularly the synthesis and application of glycans for biomedical and immunological research.

Her research interests encompass Carbohydrate Chemistry and Chemical Biology, Natural Products and Herbal Medicines, and Pharmaceutical Sciences. She has published extensively in peer-reviewed indexed journals and has presented her research findings at numerous national and international conferences. Dr. Sivasinthujah has successfully secured several competitive research grants and actively supervises undergraduate and postgraduate research projects. Beyond her research and teaching responsibilities, she contributes significantly to academic leadership, professional service, and scientific outreach, actively supporting the advancement of pharmaceutical science education and promoting research excellence.
