All accepted abstracts will be published in the Proceedings of the International Conference on Healthy Delights, Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, University of Jaffna, and will be assigned Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs).
Paper Submission Guidelines
- The abstract must be original and has not been previously published in another conference or journal, nor is currently under review by another conference or journal.
- Papers must be sent in Word or Pdf format through Microsoft Conference Management Toolkit (CMT)
- Authors must submit the Abstract along with an Extended Abstract (for review purposes) and a signed Author Declaration Form, and all abstracts must conform to ICHD standards using the format provided in the Word template (see the Downloads section).
Full papers for the presentation at the conference will be selected through blind review process. At least one author for each accepted paper must register and pay the fees for the conference by 8th of September, 2026, in order to include the paper in the program and the conference proceedings.

Keynote Speakers
Professor Abi Sriharan is an internationally recognised scholar in health systems transformation, organisational strategy, and the application of artificial intelligence (AI) in healthcare. She serves as Scientific Director and Senior Scientist at the Krembil Centre for Health Management and Leadership, Schulich School of Business, and holds an academic appointment at the University of Toronto.
Her work focuses on enabling health systems to effectively integrate digital innovations while strengthening workforce sustainability, leadership capacity, and organisational resilience. She is widely known for her contributions to AI governance, health workforce transformation, and strategic leadership in complex health systems.
With over two decades of experience across academia, healthcare, and industry, Professor Sriharan has advised governments, global health organisations, and senior leaders on navigating large-scale system transformation. Her research, supported by major international funding bodies, has significantly contributed to advancing policy and practice in health systems innovation and sustainability.
At ICHD 2026, she will deliver the keynote address titled: Leading Sustainable Health Systems in the Age of AI: From Evidence to Action.

Daya Somasundaram
Emeritus Professor Daya Somasundaram is one of Sri Lanka’s most distinguished psychiatrists and internationally recognised scholars in the fields of trauma, mental health, psychosocial rehabilitation, and community resilience. He served as Senior Professor of Psychiatry at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Jaffna, where he made significant contributions to psychiatric education, research, and mental health service development in Northern Sri Lanka.
Over a career spanning more than three decades, Professor Somasundaram has conducted pioneering research on the psychological and social consequences of war, displacement, disasters, and collective trauma. His work has informed mental health and psychosocial interventions in Sri Lanka and internationally, including contributions to community mental health programmes in Cambodia and Australia.
He is the author of numerous influential publications and books, including Scarred Minds and Scarred Communities, which have shaped understanding of trauma and recovery in post-conflict societies. His research on collective trauma, community resilience, and psychosocial rehabilitation has received international recognition and continues to influence policy, practice, and scholarship.
At ICHD 2026, Professor Somasundaram will deliver the keynote address: “Multidisciplinary Allied Health Approaches to Alcohol Use Disorders in Jaffna within Sustainable Health Systems” His keynote will explore the role of allied health professionals in addressing alcohol-related harms through integrated, community-centred, and sustainable approaches to healthcare, offering valuable insights for researchers, clinicians, students, and policymakers.
