Overview
Mrs. Losana Kajenthirasenan is a Lecturer (Probationary) in Medical Laboratory Sciences. She has completed her Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Medical Laboratory Sciences at the Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, University of Jaffna, with a second-class upper division in 2020. She completed her Master of Medical Statistics at the University of Kelaniya in 2026 and is currently pursuing her PhD in a joint PhD programme between the University of Peradeniya and the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT), Australia. She secured the UGC-RMIT scholarship worth 125,000 AUD to pursue her PhD in 2025.
Her academic and research interests encompass medical laboratory sciences, transfusion medicine, molecular biology, clinical biochemistry, infectious diseases, and medical statistics. She has experience in undergraduate teaching, student research supervision, laboratory research, data analysis, and scientific dissemination.
