Ms. Sinthuja Sivabalan

Overview

Ms. Sinthuja Sivabalan holds a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Medical Laboratory Sciences with First Class Honours from the University of Peradeniya, awarded in 2025. She began her professional career as a Temporary Demonstrator at the Ethics Review Committee, Faculty of Medicine, University of Jaffna. She subsequently served as a Temporary Scientific Assistant in the Department of Parasitology, Faculty of Medicine, University of Jaffna.

She is currently working as a Lecturer (Probationary) in the Department of the Medical Laboratory Sciences, Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, University of Jaffna. She is also a registered Medical Laboratory Technologist with the Sri Lanka Medical Council. Her research interests include Haematology, MicroRNAs, Molecular Biomarkers, and Microbiology.
