Overview
Ms. Sangavi Sivakumar holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Nursing from the Faculty of Nursing, University of Colombo, where she graduated with First Class Honours. She commenced her academic career as a Temporary Nursing Demonstrator in the Department of Nursing, Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, University of Jaffna, serving from 1st of July to 31st of December 2025. Subsequently, she served as a Lecturer (Probationary) in Nursing at the Open University of Sri Lanka, from 1st of January to 4th of September 2026. She currently serves as a Lecturer (Probationary) in Nursing in the Department of Nursing, Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, University of Jaffna, with effect from 7th of September 2026.
She is a Registered Nurse with the Sri Lankan Nursing Council. Her academic and professional interests include emergency and disaster nursing, psychiatric nursing, nursing education, and evidence-based nursing practice.
