It is one of the rarest events that a part of the people are able to witness the annular solar eclipse. Since this event was predicted to be able to witness in Jaffna, the University of Jaffna decided to organise an annular solar eclipse observation camp that is aimed to disseminate the scientific knowledge behind this occurrence. There are about 300 students from a wide part of the nation and international observers took part in the event. Students and staff of the Faculty of the Allied Health Science (FAHS) also actively took part in the observation camp. The FAHS extends its thankfulness to the organisation committee to make the event a successful one.
