The Unit of Allied Health Sciences Students’ Union (UAHSSU) plays a major role in doing community projects to increase health awareness and being helpful to under-privileged people. It should be taken into account that UAHSSU was established in 2007 and the number of students was low at the initial stage.

| March 2015 | The Union organized a blood donation camp with the support of Sri Lanka Red Cross and the Blood Bank – Teaching Hospital Jaffna. During the campaign 31 pints of blood was collected. |
| January 2014 | The Union organized a blood donation camp at the UAHS with the help of Blood Bank – Teaching Hospital Jaffna. The students ‘union collected 30 pints of blood in this campaign. |
| August 2012 | Volunteer work – The UAHSSU members spent time on shifting UAHS premises from Palaly Road to FoM, UoJ. |
| March 2012 | The union members visited the Sri Paramanatha Children and Elders Home. The members spent time in cleaning the premises and offered Rs 43436.00 worth of goods, including school bags, rubber slippers, umbrellas, chessboards and foods. |
| March 2012 | The union organized a blood donation camp with the help of Blood Bank – Teaching Hospital – Jaffna. The students’ society collected approximately 25 pints of blood in this campaign. |
| April 2011 | Elders’ home visit – The union members visited to Kaithady Elders’ Home, where they spent time in cleaning rooms and gave refreshments for residents. The union spent Rs 5000 on this project. |
